We thought it prudent to keep you informed on how we are dealing with the current state of the world as a business. The COVID-19 situation is developing quickly and potential risk is likely to continue for some time, during which the health and safety of our community, customers and staff is paramount.

Under recent advice for the closure of non-essential services business, the government of NSW does NOT require Duraglaze to cease operations. As such, we are currently running business as usual, but with new MANDATORY safety measures in place for our staff.

We are actively following all health and travel advice issued by the Australian Government and are ensuring our employees are supported with very clear hygiene protocols. We have asked staff members to take time off if they should feel unwell and have advised that support will be provided in this circumstance.

We want to make sure that we are on the same page, and are committed to being as transparent as possible with regards to our current policies and regulations surrounding COVID-19.

Here are the measures that we are actively implementing to ensure all parties’ health and safety while providing your scheduled service:

  • We are now offering communication at distance via phone/FaceTime in all applicable circumstances. If in-person meetings are required, we will avoid contact, including handshakes, and maintain a safe distance apart of 1.5 meters.
  • All staff have been asked to respectfully decline any offers for food or beverages, including water.
  • Staff are to maintain high levels of hygiene, and to sanitise before entering or leaving job sites and work.
  • Staff have been advised that if they have experienced any symptoms of illness, or have been in contact with anyone presenting symptoms, they are to stay at home and self-quarantine for 14 days.
  • All staff are required to work at a safe distance (1.5m) away from each other, and in groups no larger than 5 on commercial sites, and no larger than 2 on residential sites, plus 1 supervisor at all times.
  • All staff must practice minimal contact procedures including:
    • No shaking hands or making physical contact with each other.
    • Everyone is to use their own tools and gear and are required to clean and sanitise regularly.

Adherence to the above health and safety regulations is of utmost priority as we move forward. The health of our community, customers and staff is key to ensuring we can continue to service our clients through these difficult economic times. If you have any questions or concerns regarding the above list, or personal requests/requirements you would like to see enforced while we are working at your property, please reach out and we would be more than happy to implement them.

We look forward to working with you.
